Steven Edward Jaramillo
Founder, Foundation Services Group
Steve Jaramillo is a highly experienced leader with a diverse background spanning nonprofit management, higher education, law enforcement, financial services, human resources, and military service. With a strong foundation in public administration, he has dedicated his career to strategic leadership, program development, and community engagement.
With extensive nonprofit leadership experience, Steve has played a pivotal role in community development, program oversight, and strategic planning. As Assistant Executive Director at Lowndes Advocacy Resource Center (LARC) and former Executive Director of Greater Valdosta United Way, he has managed fiscal operations, ensured compliance with accreditation standards, and strengthened community partnerships. His work has focused on empowering individuals through effective program management, staff development, and fundraising efforts. He has successfully overseen the allocation of funding to numerous local programs, identified new revenue streams, and led strategic initiatives to enhance nonprofit impact and sustainability.
His expertise in leadership and organizational development extends to his time as Chief of Police and Security Director at Wiregrass Georgia Technical College, where he played a pivotal role in forming the college’s police department, developing safety protocols, and ensuring campus security. His leadership extended to academia as the Criminal Justice Program Coordinator, overseeing curriculum development and accreditation compliance.
Steve’s dedication to service and leadership philosophy was forged during his tenure as a US Army Ranger, where he led combat missions, managed training operations, and maintained accountability for critical resources. His military honors include the Bronze Star Medal with “V” Device, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq and Afghanistan Campaign Medals, Ranger Tab, and Expert and Combat Infantry Badge among others.
A John Maxwell Certified Speaker and Coach, Steve is passionate about leadership development and mentorship. He holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Valdosta State University. His extensive experience in organizational leadership, fiscal management, and community engagement makes him a transformative leader dedicated to making a meaningful impact.
